What are the benefits of membership?

Club members can participate in monthly social activities, networking events, receive assistance and information with your benefits and special offers from local business.


Where and when are meetings held?

The Hi Desert Teamster Retirees Club meets the last Tuesday of the month execpt December. For address and driving directions click on the events listed on our calendar.

Since my spouse cannot drive, may I attend?

Yes, we would be delighted if you attended with the understanding;
Golden Corral is requiring all in attendance to purchase breakfast at $10.00 to off set the cost of opening early.

Membership & Dues

How can I join the Hi Desert Teamster Retirees Club?

Thank you for showing interest in joining the Hi-Desert Teamster Retirees Club. Applicants must attend a meeting and fill out a required short form and pay a nominal membership fee..


What are the criteria for membership?

All active or retired Teamsters in good standing are welcome to join our club.


How much are the dues for membership?

The nominal membership fee is $12.00 per year and will be prorated depending on which month you join. All new members will receive an hat, pin and membership card.

Miscellaneous

I do not live in the area; are there lists of other clubs I may join?

The IBT Department for Retiree Affairs was established in 1983 to create a closer bond among all retired Teamsters. The Department is dedicated to meeting the needs of all retired Teamsters and is consistently working to improve and enhance affordable programs and services for our retirees.

Retirees are vital to political and member education. They can help assist our local union, and the IBT as a whole, in areas such as initiate letter-writing campaigns to communicate their view to elected officials on the local, state and national level. Retiree Chapters can sponsor voter registration drives.
